Who we are
FourSome is a mobile app that helps a golf organizer invite friends to a tee time by text message. Organizers use the app; invited friends receive SMS invitations and respond via a web link. This policy explains what we collect and how we handle it.
Information we collect
- Organizer account: your name and mobile phone number, used to sign in and to identify you on the invitations your friends receive.
- Invitee contacts: the names and mobile phone numbers an organizer enters (or selects from their phone's contacts) to invite friends to a specific outing.
- Event details: course, date/time, notes, and RSVP responses.
We access the device contact picker only when you choose to add someone; we do not upload or store your full address book.
How we use SMS
When an organizer invites you to a tee time, we send SMS messages on their behalf, including: the invitation, confirmation when you claim a spot, a roster message when the group fills, waitlist notifications, a reminder before the tee time, and cancellation notices.
- Message frequency varies and is event-driven (typically a handful of messages per outing).
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages. Reply HELP for help.
Mobile information and SMS consent are never shared with third parties for marketing.
How we share information
We share only what's necessary to run the service:
- With our messaging provider (Twilio) solely to deliver the SMS you receive.
- With other players in the same tee time, we show first names on the RSVP page so everyone knows who's in.
We do not sell your data. We do not share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing.
Data retention & your choices
You can remove players, cancel events, or delete your account, which removes your associated data. To opt out of texts, reply STOP. To request deletion or ask a question, contact us below.
